Putting your mind at ease

This course has been created with the facilitator & child in mind. The information provided comes from real life experience and ongoing research. It has been designed to answer the questions that facilitators like yourself are most likely to ask.

  • Is it safe?

  • How do I know I am doing it right?

  • Which instruments should I use?

  • How to keep students interested?

  • What considerations do I need to be aware of?

Sound Healing is a relatively young concept in the western world, however it has been used for centuries around the world for birth ceremonies, speech & language development, fostering the genius in each child & so much more.

This course compiles studies, data & real life case studies which demonstrate that sound healing for children is safe, beneficial and something we should start sharing.

Each module thoroughly answers any questions you may have plus there is ongoing support from Casey and the community.

Hear from one of our happy students

"What a wonderful course and a wonderful teacher!! As someone with autism, I find new things to be challenging at times, yet the support offered by Casey throughout has been incredible. She has gone above and beyond to support me and has placed emphasis on showing me what I can achieve at a pace that has very much suited me. With her encouragement, I’ve been able to achieve things on this course I didn’t believe I’d be able to do and will have come out of the training with a new found confidence.

I had been trained in sound healing just over 2 months before starting this course and the opportunities that have been opened from The Sound Healers Guide to Working with Children course, and having to reach out to people to complete the case studies, have been amazing!

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed learning about how to support all age groups using the benefits of sound and it’s left me feeling really well equipped to carry out sessions with confidence.

The videos, study work and links to extra reading are all set out in an easily digestible way and I love that I’ve been able to revisit the course content at any time without any pressure of a deadline. It’s just allowed me to fully process the studies to then approach each case study with complete understanding and reflection.

I really would recommend this course to anyone! It’s been more than just a course. I genuinely feel part of a wonderful new community and know that I can reach out and connect anytime :) "

Frequently asked questions

Keen but got questions? We've got answers.

What instruments do I need to do this course?

You don’t need an extensive collection of instruments to participate in this course! In fact, a beautiful, transformative sound bath can be created with just a few essential tools.

For instance, your voice—through singing, toning, or humming—is an incredibly powerful instrument. Pair it with a single sound bowl, drum, or chime, and you already have a versatile foundation for creating healing soundscapes.

If you're working within a budget, prioritise quality over quantity. Investing in a smaller set of high-quality instruments will yield better resonance, durability, and results than a larger set of lower-quality tools. These thoughtfully chosen instruments will serve you well over time and enhance the experiences you offer.

Throughout the course, we’ll suggest specific instruments that are particularly supportive and engaging for different age groups. These are merely recommendations; what’s most important is selecting instruments that resonate with you. Trust your intuition and personal preferences—your connection to the instruments will elevate the energy and authenticity of your sessions.

Remember, it’s not about having every instrument but about creating meaningful connections through the ones you choose.

Do I need to be a qualified sound healer to do this course?

To qualify in this course and share sound healing with children you will also need a formal sound healing training. If you do not already have one, you can still do this course and alongside it you may choose to do our add on course The Foundations Of Sound, which is only available as an add on. Alternatively you may choose to study & qualify with another training body so that you can gain an understanding of how sound healing works.

How does this course run?

This is a self-paced, pre-recorded online course with lifetime access to the learning materials.

You’ll have immediate access to all modules upon enrolment. However, it’s important to work through them in order, as some foundational content is shared early on and not repeated later.

To receive certification, you’ll need to complete your case studies and homework within 6 months of purchase—but you can revisit the videos and materials anytime.

Will I get a certificate and certification when I complete this course?

Yes! On successful completion of the homework and case studies, so long as you also have a qualification in sound healing, you’ll receive a certificate certified by the CMA (Complementary Medical Association). This means you’ll be fully qualified to offer sound healing for children and acquire insurance to begin practising.

We are affiliated with Westminster Insurance, who will insure you upon completion. As a student, you’ll receive a complimentary referral that gives you an exclusive discount on your insurance.

What homework is involved?

Homework is a powerful way to apply what you’ve learned and prepare for working with real clients. Each module includes:

  1. Multiple-Choice Quiz

    • Instantly test your understanding.

    • You can retake the quiz as many times as needed to achieve 100%.

  2. Homework Sheet

    • Tasks and reflective journal prompts.

    • Designed for your personal growth—you’re encouraged to share your insights with the group, but it’s not required.

  3. Case Studies

    • Complete 7 case studies with children aged 0–18.

    • These can be 1-to-1, small or large group sessions, or even online.

    • Submit a reflective review for each case study—Casey will personally read and provide feedback on every one.

  4. Module Review

    • A written reflection on your learning and experience.

    • Casey will provide personalised guidance to support your development.

When each module is complete, simply email your homework to Casey for review.

Do my case studies have to be free?

Not necessarily. If your case studies incur costs, you’re welcome to charge a small fee. That said, many students choose to offer them for free or at a low cost while they’re still learning and building confidence.

It also helps potential clients understand you're in training, and it gives you the chance to gather valuable feedback and content (with permission) for your future business.

How long will it take me to complete the course?

The course is designed to be flexible and fit around your life. Most students complete it in 15–20 hours total.

That includes:

  • Watching the video lessons

  • Exploring the practical activities

  • Planning and practising with children

You can move at your own pace—some complete it in just a few weeks, while others spread it out over the full 6 months. Either way, you’ll have lifetime access, so you can revisit the materials anytime.

Do I have to study and work with all age groups?

You might already know the age group you want to work with—and that’s great! But you’re encouraged to explore all age ranges during the course. You'll be tested on your understanding of each, but it’s completely fine to specialise later on.

Your case studies can focus on the age group you prefer. And since you have lifetime access, you can always return to other modules if your focus changes in the future.

Once you begin studying you may be pleasantly surprised that you enjoy working with other age groups too!

What support is available during the course?

Casey is here to support you every step of the way!

  • Each module has a dedicated FAQ section.

  • You can comment directly within lessons to ask questions.

  • Or email Casey anytime at casey@sensoryland.com.

You’ll also be invited to our private online community of sound healers, parents, teachers, wellness professionals and more. It’s a warm, inspiring space to connect, ask questions, and celebrate your wins.

What is the course community like?

When you enrol, you gain access to our friendly and supportive private group.

This is your space to:

  • Share your “aha!” moments

  • Celebrate milestones

  • Ask questions and seek guidance

  • Connect with a global network of like-minded individuals

They're a lovely group of people all around the world and very supportive!

Can I do all of my homework at the end?

Absolutely—it's up to you and your learning style.

Some students prefer to complete homework as they go, while others choose to finish the course first, then submit their homework and case studies. Both approaches are valid. Just be sure to complete all requirements within 6 months of enrolment.

How is the course designed for different learning styles?

We’ve intentionally crafted this course to support a range of learning preferences:

  • Video Lessons with optional transcripts

  • Clear Written Summaries in digestible, bite-sized chunks

  • Linked Resources for deeper exploration

Many students use the transcripts to follow along—especially if English isn’t their first language.

We’ve also had great feedback from neurodivergent learners who appreciate the clarity and structure of the course. If anything isn’t working for you, just reach out. We’re here to help.

Do I have to complete the course in 6 months?

You have 6 months to complete your homework and case studies if you wish to become certified. This helps ensure momentum and supports you in launching your work confidently.

The learning itself is self-paced, and you’ll always have lifetime access to the video content and resources.

Want to complete it sooner? Some students complete the course in as little as 14 weeks, allowing time to:

  • Study one module per week

  • Conduct and write up case studies

  • Reflect and revise as needed

We recommend setting aside around 4 hours per week to stay on track.

Who is this course suitable for?

This course is for anyone passionate about bringing the healing power of sound to children.

Whether you're already a sound healer or completely new to this work, you'll find a supportive pathway and vibrant community.

Our students include:

  • Sound Therapists looking to specialise in working with children

  • Teachers bringing sound into their classrooms

  • Yoga Instructors expanding their offerings for families

  • Parents supporting their own children with sound

  • Nurses & Wellness Practitioners incorporating sound into care settings

  • Astrologers & Holistic Healers weaving sound into their spiritual work

If you haven’t trained in sound healing yet, consider starting with our Foundations of Sound course—it’s the perfect introduction before diving into this specialism.

How many hours of videos are there exactly?

You can take a peek at the course content in the contents section of this page – it outlines the duration of each video.
There are roughly 15 hours of video content in The Sound Healer’s Guide to Working with Children and 7 hours in Foundations of Sound. Alongside this, there is written content to work through – in total this brings it to around 20 hours for The Sound Healer’s Guide to Working with Children and 12 hours for Foundations of Sound.
You’ll also want to allow extra time for reading, homework, and case studies. The courses are complete, but as requests for more content come in, I do my best to create and share – so the courses will continue to expand over time.

After watching the videos, will I be ready to start classes on my own, or do I need extra in-person time too?

I encourage you to play along with me while you learn. Everyone has a different learning style – some people like to watch all the way through once, others prefer to pause and play, or take notes as they go.
Once you’ve watched the videos, worked through the written content, and had time practising with your instruments, you’ll be ready to move into your case studies. Many students find it helpful to practise first with friends and family before working with the public in their case studies.

Do I get access to the videos for life to refer back to?

You’ll have 6 months to complete the course and receive your certification, but you will have lifetime access to the content. This way, you can return to refresh your skills anytime – for example, you might begin by working with one age group, then later decide to expand into another and need a reminder of the techniques.

Do the videos show a whole class from start to finish?

The courses guide you through this both in the videos and with lesson plans and checklists. At this time, there aren’t full-length, real-time recordings of live sessions included. However, as part of the Foundations of Sound homework, you’ll need to attend multiple sound baths. These experiences will give you a deeper understanding of the flow, logistics, and order of a full session.

Do I need insurance to work with children and babies?

Yes – you will need public liability insurance. This protects not only those attending your sessions, but also yourself and your instruments.

Is it possible to sit in on a practical session of yours and watch face to face?

This isn't currently on offer however in the not too distant future we will run in person trainings and it will be part of that. If you are interested in in person long weekend trainings in London please register your interest at casey@sensoryland.com

Can I pay in installments?

Yes. There is a 3 part payment plan available please read the terms before signing up.
